Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between a dead pixel and a stuck pixel?
A dead pixel has a completely non-functional transistor and stays permanently black. A stuck pixel is stuck in an active state and permanently displays one color (usually red, green, or blue).
Can stuck pixels be fixed?
Yes, stuck pixels can often be revived by rapidly cycling primary color signals using the built-in Rapid Strobe Exerciser to stimulate the liquid crystal molecules.
How do I use this to inspect backlight bleed?
Select the Pitch Black test pattern in a darkened room. Inspect the perimeter edges of your display for any uneven light halos escaping around the bezel.
